Story
The stories time setting is around the same as a modern time setting.
The story begins with Ryu Hayabusa finding that his father has been killed in a duel with another ninja. Ryu then finds a letter from Ken, his father, telling him that he should travel to America to find the archaeologist "Walter Smith."
The main of this story revolves around two demon statues that when brought together can bring forth an arch demon capable and bent on destroying the world.
The game Ninja Gaiden has been ported onto several different devices including the, PC Engine, SNES, Wii Virtual Console, and Mobile Phones. When the game was released in Europe its name was changed to Shadow Warrior.
